Why Martin wants to be a NASS champion:
Martin has joined the champions in primary care programme to challenge himself to get beyond a purely clinical role and hopes to utilise his passion for quality healthcare delivery to improve the lived experience of people living with axial spondyloarthitis within the healthcare system.
What Martin hopes to achieve from the programme:
“I am striving to improve the experience for patients living with the symptoms of Spondyloathropathy (including axial SpA, Ankylosing Spondylitis or AxSpA). I would like to raise awareness in primary care, positively influencing beliefs within the population about the disease, whilst personally developing my confidence in the managerial, quality improvement and service development challenges associated with the programme.”
